Mapei Type 1 mastic … Mapei Type 1 mastic is reccommended by the manufacturer for floor tile install. They were merely taking a reccommended use by the company that manufactures the product for a reccommended use.

It is never …
It is never acceptable to use mastic when setting tile on a floor. Use multipurpose thinset only!!! What were these people thinking??!!!
